Meet Mining Maven Elena Mayer

The Driven by Grayes campaign brought together four unique and accomplished women to co-create a versatile capsule collection. Today, we are share some highlights of our conversation with Elena Mayer as she tells us what it means to be Driven.

Tell us about your career:

I'm a senior manager in client relations for PwC Canada. I'm also the CEO and President of Women Who Rock, a foundation that's meant to attract and retain more women to mining. 

What was the inspiration behind your piece?

We start our days at 7 or 8 o'clock and we rarely have time to go home to change and pick another outfit for the evening. Having versatile pieces really helps me in the sense that I don't have to choose to be either professional or feminine, I can really be both and feel confident.

Why did you participate in the Driven by Grayes campaign?

There are a number of things I like about the Grayes brand. When I saw the clothes, I kind of fell in love with them. They resonate with everything I believe in, in terms of femininity and most importantly, versatility. 

What does it mean to be you to be Driven?

To be Driven means follow your passion. Not only have an idea but also have the courage to realize it.
